On June 8, almost 46% of the voters of Alameda County supported Victoria Kolakowski, for Superior Court Judge. Now the voters will choose again in a run-off on November 2.
Judge Kolakowski has the experience and qualifications as an administrative law judge and attorney, the demonstrated commitment to the community, and the calm demeanor needed to be a fair judge for all of us.
Please join the Sierra Club, California Nurses Association, Alameda Labor Council, National Women's Political Caucus, Board of Equalization Chair Betty Yee, Former Senator Liz Figueroa, Assemblymembers Nancy Skinner and Sandre Swanson, Supervisors Keith Carson and Nate Miley, Oakland City Attorney John Russo, and many others in supporting Victoria Kolakowski for Alameda County Superior Court Judge.

"The county would be fortunate to have a person with such vast legal experience and dedication to justice on the bench." — Sandre R. Swanson, Assemblymember, 16th District
"Kolakowski is our pick, in part because she'd make history — but more so because of her long history of public service and her progressive values." — San Francisco Bay Guardian
"Diversity of legal opinion is essential, and we think that the progressive Kolakowski, who would be the nation's first transgender superior court judge, will bring an important perspective to the bench that does not now exist." — East Bay Express
"Kolakowski would bring a different perspective to the bench with her civil law background. Additionally, only 29 percent of the county's roughly 70 judges are women, and none are openly LGBT. The city of Oakland has one of the highest concentrations of lesbian households in the nation; the county's court system should begin to reflect that reality." — Bay Area Reporter
